OUR PASTOR

Pastor Jeff Smith was born on March 4th, 1981, at the Elliott Hospital in Manchester, NH. After he and his two sisters spent their early years as children of missionary parents traveling from church to church gaining support, they eventually settled in Florida once Trinidad's mission field was closed. In September of 1985, at the age of 4, Jeff heard a sermon on hell and knew he was going to hell for his sins unless he asked Jesus Christ to save him from going there. In the middle of the night, at the kitchen table, Jeff asked his parents this question, “If I have to go to hell for my sins, then why did Jesus die for my sins?” This was the moment that Jeff accepted the gift of salvation by asking Jesus Christ to save him so he would not have to go to that awful place.

At the age of 7, Jeff surrendered to preach in any capacity the Lord wanted for his life. Jeff moved back to NH in his late 20s and started attending Fair Haven Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor David Trosclair. There he continued to be active in church as a member, a song leader, a youth group leader, and occasionally preaching when called upon. He attended The Bible Doctrine Institute in 2012 and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Theology in November 2015.

Through the directing and miracle-working of God, Jeff found “a good thing” (Proverbs 18:22) in 2010, and six months later, on October 23, 2010, Jeff was married to Rebecca, and together they have been blessed with two beautiful children: Maris and Micah

In March of 2017, God enabled Jeff to start Liberty Bible Baptist Church and put him full-time into the ministry as the Pastor. The scripture God gave to Pastor Jeff as the foundation of LBBC and for the work of the ministry was 1Peter 5:2-3,  (“Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.”).
