Blood Tipped Consecration

The word consecration has three applications or parts to the definition: 1. Cut apart 2. Canonized 3. Communion

Here, Aaron and his sons are cut apart (set apart/sanctified) from the rest of the tribes and the people to minister in the Tabernacle of the congregation. They were Canonized in their calling by the decree of God as they had specific laws and commands they had to follow. Lastly, they were to be in communion with God as they offered sacrifices, presented the blood, and burned incense.

This consecration took place in three areas of their body: 1. The tip of the right ear. 2. The thumb of the right hand. 3. The toe of the right foot.

This signifying that consecration requires the saint of God to be mindful of the truth that the blood of Christ has been shed for what we listen to, what we put our hands onto, and where we go.

Remembering that we are not our own, but are bought with a price, therefore we are to glorify God in our body and spirit which are God’s.

Our bodies have been cult away from our souls, and therefore we are to consecrate our bodies unto the Lord. We are canonized in our calling because we have been given a set of doctrines and commands to follow under the New Testament age of grace (Romans 12:1-2). And lastly, we are to be in communion with the Lord in fellowship through prayer and worship.

Thankfully, the blood of Christ cleanseth us from all sin, and when we sin with our bodies, we are to confess it by faith and get back into fellowship and service for the Lord.
