God is True

In a mixed up world where truth is harder to uncover because of all the liars and their lies (Romans 3:4), there is still One who “is true,” God, the Lord Jesus Christ.

His words are true, his testimony is true, and his Spirit is true. Those who have believed, have “everlasting life,” and those who have not believed abide under “the wrath of God.”

By God’s promise, the child of God, who has “received his testimony” is “sealed with that holy Spirit of promise” (Eph. 1:13) “unto the day of redemption” (Eph. 4:30). We don’t wait to hope if it’s true, or hope that we make it; rather, we know our hope is true, and we know we are going to make it by the everlasting life and grace of Jesus Christ. This is our “blessed hope” (Titus 2:13) according to “love of God” (Rom. 8:39) in Christ Jesus.

Nothing can change that truth because “God is true” and it’s “impossible for God to lie” (Heb. 6:18); therefore, his promises are true as an “anchor of the soul” (Heb. 6:19).
