The Known Ways of Life
Through the gospel and “passion” of Jesus Christ, he makes “known” the “ways of life” and the fullness of joy.
A child of God can know for sure that he is not going to hell, and that his body will not stay in the grave forever; because the resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ secured our destination to heaven to live with him forever and ever.
It is in this fact and doctrine, through many “infallible proofs,” that our flesh can “rest in hope,” our heart can rejoice, and our tongue can be glad to tell the wondrous story of Jesus and his love.
We have the same blessed assurance and promise that Peter and the apostles had here. Our Saviour lives, sits at the right hand of the Father, and one day soon he’s coming back to catch his bride away and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
