excuses
An “excuse” leads to a choice. The excuse is based on the condition of one’s heart. If the heart is conditioned to love the world, then the world’s treasures will create a good excuse not to fellowship with Jesus. If the heart is conditioned to love God, then the your treasures will be found at Jesus’ feet (see Luke 12:31-34.)
Ultimately what you desire will determine the choices you make; the choices you make will determine the person you become and where you go in life. If you’re looking for an excuse to help make your choice, it won’t be long before an excuse is presented and the choice is made.
The judgment seat of Christ will reveal if our excuses and our choices were genuine or deceptive. It all comes down to the things we desire most.
