At Wits' End

What a mighty God we serve! How good and marvelous is he to his children, that he should “calm…the waves” of our “storm” to make for us “still” waters!

If you’ve ever been at your “wits’ end” because of “trouble” or “distresses”, much of it by our own doing, then you know that your “desired haven” is a place of relief. It’s hard to be “glad” when in the midst of a storm, but when all is “quiet” then are we glad that it’s finally over.

If you’re not in a storm now, you have either just come through one, or you are about to go into one. Just remember the same God that leads you beside “still waters” is the same God that will lead you through the stormy waters. He’s still the “Master of the Sea”!

Maybe you can’t be glad in the midst of trouble, but at least take the time on the other side of it to be glad and praise and thank the LORD “for his goodness, and for his marvelous works.”
