Love Lifted Me
There’s nothing like watching a “sin-sick sinner” walk the aisle putting his faith and trust in the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation! King Hezekiah is a picture of just that.
Before salvation, the sinner only has “bitterness” and no “peace” in his soul and spirit. His soul is on a collision course for the lake of fire (“pit of corruption”), wherein the worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched.
But God, who is rich in mercy for his great love, wherein he loved us, paid the ultimate price for sin, by being made sin and becoming a curse on the cross and going to “the pit of corruption” before his resurrection.
Now, any sinner, who is sick with “all” his “sins” can be “delivered” through the gospel. Upon the moment of his salvation God will “cast all (his) sins behind (his) back” and remember them no more. That man’s soul, like Hezekiah, is completely healed and sealed unto the day of redemption.
His spirit is born again and the Holy Spirit is now “the life of (his) spirit” to walk in the newness of life.
There’s nothing like the joy of salvation!! Hallelujah! Amen! Bless the LORD!!
