Call of Duty

We might simply be “unprofitable servants” doing that which is “our duty to do,” but we don’t have to be unthankful servants (verses 11-19) or unfaithful servants (Luke 16:10-12).

Sometimes the Christian life is that of simply doing one’s duty. You can do your duty and love what you’re doing and who you’re doing it for, or you can do your duty unthankfully grumbling and complaining.

The judgment seat of Christ will reveal the motivation and the sincerity of our duty, so now is not the time to quit your duty or to question another’s duty.

If God has given you something to do, do it humbly, thankfully, and faithfully.
